FAIBS – Middle Beach Event

Friends of Adelaide International Bird Sanctuary

Friends of Adelaide International Bird Sanctuary (FAIBS) will be holding an event at Middle Beach next Sunday, 14th of April between 9am and 12.30pm

How To Get There:

Head along Port Wakefield Road, one km past Two Wells, then look for the brown sign on the left – “Middle Beach Education Centre”. Turn left onto Middle Beach Rd and travel 7 km to the end, then bear right to the kiosk and park.

This month’s FAIBS activity in the Bird Sanctuary will be to:

  • Make a plan and lists of how to fix up the trail signs and boardwalk.
  • Map the habitat features of the Samphire Thornbill.
  • Meet with other keen Friends and have a social outing.

Please Bring:

Your morning tea, water bottle, sunscreen, hat, insect repellent, closed toe shoes and if keen on bird watching, a camera and binoculars. Gloves and any tools required will be supplied, but bring your own if you prefer.

A scope will be available so interested persons can undertake some bird spotting after our activities.
