Thompson Beach residents might be interested in attending events to be held on Australia Day at Two Wells.
Adelaide Plains Council hosts an annual breakfast each year on Australia Day, held sequentially in each of the (gazetted) townships within the Council’s area – Dublin, Mallala and Two Wells.
This year the event is to be held at the Two Wells Community Centre, located in the Two Wells Oval Precinct, Old Port Wakefield Road on January 26.
A free cooked breakfast provided by Council and prepared by a local community group will be available. Breakfast will be served from 8am with formal proceedings set to commence at 9am.
The morning will include the presentation of winners of the Australia Day/Citizen of the Year Awards, followed by a Citizenship Ceremony. This is generally is concluded by 10.30 AM to enable everyone to continue to celebrate the day with family and friends.
Australia Day Ambassador, Anthony Fioravanti (SAPOL) will also make a presentation.
Two Wells Community Centre is a 32km drive from Thompson Beach (about 24 minutes travel time) – directions can be found here.
